Mortal Kombat: Origins Reborn 3

Chapter Three - (Unraveling Annals of the Eschaton Scroll)

Just before Shinnok’s fall from grace as it so was meant to be, Delia a human sorceress that became a wife of Argus, who was himself a God Protecting Edenia.  Delia’s precognitive abilities could see into events of the future.  Her visions determined that a course of inaction in the Mortal Kombat tournaments would result in absolute annihilation.  The Kamidogu weapons that were used to vanquish the One Being would get discovered by Shujinko.

In the events of her premonition if nothing was altered it would lead to the rising of Outworld’s former ruler Onaga and his Army of Dragon Soldiers getting resurrected.  In another trance she had while reflecting on the foresight of the Mortal Kombat tournaments, she sensed that it becomes corrupted and that the Nether Realm would be involved.  Quan Chi would become colleagues with Shang Tsung for some reason.  

Meanwhile Shao Kahn would be betrayed wherein the two evil Mages team up temporarily and through Deception unbalance the Furies that act as Realm Oracles and give Sagely Law to nature. The exact details of it were unclear but paranoia among the new threat meant Shang Tsung would have dishonorably beaten Quan Chi putting an end to the “Deadly Alliance”

Raiden would take The Amulet of Shinnok that Quan Chi had been using, understanding the genuine threat Onaga posed to all of the realms, he would attend to Sindel and keep her hidden from Shao Kahn in the Lin Kuei temple in the hopes of preventing a hostile takeover by the remaining loyal followers [yet to be named Rain, Tanya, and Ermac] of Emperor Shao Kahn and taking of Edenia.  The timeline would bring about previously unknown Earth-Realm Raptor(s)  [Chameleon, Khameleon, and Tsuchinoko.] who would be recruited into the mysterious Clan of the Red Dragon by Reptile.

The resulting outcome would leave Elder God’s Harrowers battling Minions of Shao Kahn, afterward those who still lived would begin to team up with Scorpion’s undead army. The Black Dragons Jarek, Noface, Tremor, Kira would overwhelm and destroy the Red Dragons that would be lead by Reptile, Chameleon, Khameleon, and Tsuchinoko.

War would ravage all the realms until The Final Battle of Armageddon that would take place between all Mortal Kombat participants since the first Earth-Realm victory against Shang Tsung and Goro. The realms that had combined would separate and dimensions crumble, Onaga finally as the victor then would bind all of the realms into one singularity.  The remaining warriors that still live Kai, Jade, and Shujinko would look on in horror not able to cease the merging Kamidagu. The One Being no longer asleep and had plotted and manipulated every action of the combatants.

Although Elder Gods were not allowed to interfere with mortals; Knowing this Apocalyptic prophecy of Edenia and aftermath was then brought to the attention of Argus where a location of the crater and inevitably the Outworld forces of Light and Darkness would fight into the coming battle.  Some alternative of the potential catastrophe was needed. 

It was decided the sons of Argus two Brothers; Taven and Daegon would be tested, now only half-gods they would need to cross the gateway in a Pyramid of Argus and battle a fire-spawn of Delia. The armor and weapons once chosen by the one who struck Blaze terminating the essence of the summoner would have granted to them the title Edenia Guardian.  Hopefully the solution would bring about the execution of all involved in the Mortal Kombat or take away all Super Enchanted and Meta Physical skills of them, therefore stabilizing the realms. ================================================================
As it stands now the fate of the mortals and the Elder Gods was uncertain it would take time before outcomes unfolded.

When the battle ceased Earth-Realm was Victorious Liu Kang overcame Goro,  Sonya Blade seemingly got the upper-hand while fighting Shang Tsung.  Raiden was able to help locate Kano, and Johnny Cage was able to market an incredible franchise directing idea of the Mortal Kombat in the Hollywood scene home once again.  Scorpion got even with Sub Zero only a heart no longer beating and sliced clothing remained of the assassin when the confrontation was over.  Scorpion gathered an Axe and Sword before departing to his domain in Hell.

The Tournament was over but the fight was still proceeding, Shang Tsung summoned all of his mystical energy to power an earthquake leaving the island collapsing around Raiden’s Defenders.  In the confusion Sonya and Kano were transported to Outworld and taken prisoner by Shao Kahn.
 
Raiden was successful in warping the remaining members of Earth-Realm (Liu Kang and Johnny Cage) back to safety.  Whilst upon the lei tai platform under the Wu Shi Academy flag as Shaolin Masters were learning of Earth-Realms' victory The Tarkatan; A mutant race bred from denizens of the Nether Realm and Outworld nomads were then sent into White Lotus Society and murdered numerous Wu Shi Monks, resulting in Liu Kang and fellow student Kung Lao pursuing them back into Outworld’s wastelands to avenge their fallen comrades.  They discover their leader Baraka is entering the new Tournament of Mortal Kombat.  The Battle for Earth-Realm was being held by Emperor Shao Kahn himself. 

Meanwhile back at the hidden base of the Lin Kuei news of (Bi Han) Sub-Zero’s loss had impacted the next to participate his younger brother code named Freezing point would don the identity of Sub-Zero and taking no chances Hydro was enacted to locate a team of cyberneticist Engineers and Tundra would initiate Absolute Zero project to recruit test subjects into robotic soldiers, regardless of willingness.

This power struggle left the Clan in shambles and when Scorpion witnessed who he thought to be Sub-Zero aiding Liu Kang in a battle with Jade and Baraka however when Jade was at his mercy Sub-Zero turned away and allowed her to continue living.  This Sub-Zero was even utilizing Shotokan style upon later discovering that this was the brother of the one who Scorpion murdered he decided to aid the current acting Sub-Zero with the Edenian Kitana that herself was manipulated into serving Shang Tsung and Shao Kahn.

Mileena who was a raised as sister to Kitana, and Jade a long time friend of Kitana were supposed to murder Shang Tsung for failing to destroy the Earthrealmers.  Ironically it was Reptile that told Shao Kahn of Goro’s apparent death and explained Raiden’s warriors would come to find Baraka, Kano, and Sonya so it might be wise to keep a powerful ally like Shang Tsung.  He agrees begrudgingly and even grants him his youth with his power of alchemy, at his peak now, Shang Tsung takes command of the Shokan warrior Kintaro, the replacement for Goro.  During implementation of this  the Dark Forces under Baraka and Mileena to prepare for war. 

Events however that were unforeseen in The Quest of Shujinko had consequences that would shake up future-history when someone known only as Hornbuckle, the Holy Man of a lava shrine cult still worshiping Emperor Onaga happened to locate The Gem of Tetsurri.  Blaze was distracted from his mission on the pyramid of Argus and keeping mental contact with the guardian dragons Caro and Orin.  In Outworld the Sarna Ruins that a faction of soothsayer priests loyal to the majestic Dragon King order had located and commandeered to house the ancient After Dead Legion until the Kamidogu were united in the Nexus.  Caro did not bring Taven to consciousness until much later than was hoped.   

The Gem of Tetsurri is actually a Warlord’s Heart from the ancient world that had crystallized. It was intended to perpetually revive the fallen armies of the Dragon Emperor Onaga.  The prophecy states after being reborn, the egg from Sarna Temple Shrine located in Outworld gave birth The Great Dragon.  Shujinko was manipulated by Damashi, a conscious figure of Onaga pretending to be working along with the Elder Gods; Into resurrecting the former ruler.  With a simple kind act grabbing the Memory Potion for Blaze who was wandering the realms unable to remember his quest from Argus and Delia.  The new string of events was flowing through reality making an unstable barrier between space and time more perilous.

Never the less the Outworld was represented by Reptile, Baraka, Scorpion, Shang Tsung, and Mileena.  Earth-Realm would be represented by Kung Lao, Sub-Zero, Kitana, Raiden, Liu Kang, Jax, Johnny Cage, and Smoke as a human on the run from the Absolute Zero project of Lin Kuei.  With the body count rising Jax (Sonya’s current partner) decides to recruit Johnny Cage and meet up with Kitana and now Shao Kahn this time himself was defeated in OutWorld thanks to the actions of Johnny Cage and the others.  The victory resulted in Reptile breaking free of his duty as body guard to Shang Tsung.  Jax and Sonya prepared for the next time they would be needed, Jade is convinced to Join Edenia. Mileena masquerading as Shao Kahn’s Daughter tries to convince everyone that she is Kitana and therefore the princess of Edenia, Kitana learned of the treachery and learned that she was brainwashed by the Emperor and that her mother Sindel and father Jerrod were deposed during the Outworld Invasion.  With the aid of Kung Lao, Raiden, and Jade she joins the cause to over-throw the Emperor.

There was peace at this time between Earth-Realm, Edenia, and Outworld.  However in the realms of Outworld and the Nether Realm have fierce rivalries.  Whole classes of of people such as The Shokan who hated that now a Centaur was put in command of the extermination squads, embarrassed by loosing Kitana to the rebels of Edenia and angry that Kano and Sonya escaped, the governing Dynasty of 2,000 years was shaken up on top of that, now all the tribes and factions in the Outworld vying for power kept destroying the civilization that the Emperor had built over the Mileena until finally he united them by magically reviving his queen Sindel as her soul dwelled with Earthrealm’s boarders he could cross into it without the victory of the Elder-gods tournament.

Outworld Portals opened in Earth Realm and Raiden was confounded by the Elder Gods not bothering to stop it, so he risked his mortality by annulling his status as Elder God and used his ethereal cosmic energy to the souls of the chosen defenders NightWolf, Sub-Zero, Stryker, Jax, Kabal, Sonya, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, the dark-power would pass through and leave the warriors unfazed.  Raiden against the judgement of the other Elder Gods gave up his place as console and defended Earth-Realm without their consent.  The fighting would come not only with risk to the Earthrealmers' home planet but to their very souls.

Enforcers came first with creatures from all walks of life, Ermac a mysterious figure comprised of all the souls Shao Kahn had taken in previous conquests, Centaurs and Reptilians Chameleon, Khameleon, and Reptile attacking with Necromancer mystics and militant Tarkatan.  The last wave were robotic lifeforms Sektor, Cyrax, and the Lin Kuei trying to hunt down Sub Zero.  Kahn's Shadow Priests wiped all human life in Iraq, Mongolia, then America finally the remaining scattered survivors that were still fighting just vaporized, Outworld and Earth-Realm became one mixed centralized realm.  Souls left their bodies nothing more than dried decayed husks.

The matches started between Sub-Zero, Jax, Sonya, Liu Kang, and Scorpion when they ran into Motaro, a breed of Centaurian native to Outworld and lives as a hunter that has a composite cybernetic tail the frame of a horse body, with horns of a Ram, two cloven sided hoof up front, and two rear three toed hooves, and the torso of a man they are 9 feet in length on average.   

Then one of the chosen fighters by Raiden a Riot cop named Kurtis Stryker was ambushed by Mileena but managed to get the upper hand, she ran to get the Tarkatan for backup. He introduced himself and how he had gotten fed up with the force not believing his claims about the Army invading from Outworld until it was too late.  

Meanwhile in the base of Outworld where Numerous Spells originate and followers of Abaddon recorded them to Books of Shadows, Tribes of harrowers working with the Elder Gods and recorded Bestiaries.  It was in the dungeon of Shao Kahn where Stryker, Kung Lao and Kitana located the Balcony of the Soul chamber called Noob's Dorfen.  Upon further inspection there was some advanced teleportation Gate and the inscriptions to apparently Denote Afterlife, "Wormhole Tartarus - Gehenna: Where insatiable sleep" It also had a report for military process assigned to [The Dungeon of Shao Kahn’s Forge]  as this was happening a prince of Edenia called Rain betrayed his homeland and joined Shao Kahn. 

Kabal was originally in Outworld and worked along the Black Dragon Clan he was disfigured by the invading forces of the acting Emperor of Outworld.  When he was revived he wanted to atone for his mercenary career with the Black Dragon, starting with the vendetta to crush Shao Kahn.   

Kano decided to join up with Sindel and hunt down Jade when they found Jade she wasn't alone and with Raiden and the help of the other warriors gathered by Kitana her memory of Edenia being decimated returned and was reunited with her daughter to defend Earth-Realm.  Kano tried to escape but was stopped by Sonya who after a fight threw him over the side of a building ledge, no body was found after the incident and Sheeva the Queen of the Shokan reported it to Shao Kahn.

The world was being retaken and Mileena loyal to her duty of Outworld attacked Kitana,  Mileena was however outclassed and defeated.  The sides were all battling evenly, until Smoke who was converted now along with Sector and Cyrax but unlike them had kept his free will joined Sub-Zero and Scorpion, as the strange events leading into the tournament created the Androids and Gynoids of the Lin Kuei had splintered from the humans.  The Emperor was defeated in the end and retreated with the remaining occupying forces.  Smoke although successful in aiding Earth-Realm in Shao Kahn’s defeat was deactivated and left in an Outworld Dungeon.

With Victory against Shao Kahn's Outworld Conquest of Earth-Realm, finally Edenia was separate from Outworld was no longer merged with either of those realms.  The Edenian allies used magic to restore the victims and through the cooperation of governments France, Russia, Great Britain, United States, and China had recovered. 

The fight for freedom from Outworld was simply a prelude of Shinnok finally escaping the Nether Realm.  The first act was to have Quan Chi and the revenant beings invade Edenia whilst he took half of the Brotherhood of Shadow into Earth-Realm and used Raiden's Sky Temple to disrupt the realms. 

Goro regained his place as Prince of the Shokan and helped the Outworld Emperor regain his status as ruler Shao Kahn amongst Rain along side Noob Saibot until he revealed himself as the reborn Sub-Zero who was killed by Scorpion and that he'd been working with Quan Chi and his master Shinnok.  Goro is wounded by Noob Saibot but saved by Shao Kahn who was saved in turn by Shang Tsung.

Kung Lao who was still in Outworld, as this time was going to kill Baraka but incidentally faces Goro and leaves a ceremonial cut across his chest for the murder of his ancestor but with the aid of Kitana a peace agreement is reached and Centaurians have a truce with Shokan as well.  Kung Lao and Goro extend their hands and shake in a sign of peace.  Goro before parting informs him that The Great Kung Lao was one of the most noble Earthrealmers he had ever fought and although Shokan serve the Outworld's ruler they respect him as a fellow warrior.

Reiko and Tanya team up to free Shinnok with the aid of Quan Chi who has the real Neather Realm Amulet.  Quan Chi believed that Sub-Zero and Scorpion would kill each other after initially convincing Scorpion that this Sub-Zero is the one responsible in the massacre of his child and wife.

Scorpion finds the truth out about the Lin Kuei being manipulated just as the Shirai Ryu once had been.  Quan Chi was ripped to pieces by them both.  The Outworld Investigation Agency at the time had Jax and Sonya begrudgingly team up with Jerek the only remaining Black Dragon, in order to find information of the rival Red Dragon Clan.  The Red Dragon have existed in secret and partnered with Reptile who intends to help Bring Shinnok back to have revenge on the Elder Gods.  Sektor is programmed to seek and destroy Cyrax, who since the events of Shao Kahn retaking the throne in Outworld Cyrax is left wandering into Jade's Desert in a mission to locate Sub-Zero and Smoke; the rogue Lin Kuei warriors.  Since Smoke was currently deactivated now, his coding was corrupted and the reprogrammed functions of self awareness began to regain it’s mind and lost humanity. 

Meanwhile Kai (a fellow White Lotus of Earth-Realm), Fujin, Raiden, Liu Kang, and Johnny Cage link up with Kitana to prevent the newly freed Edenia from being conquered by the Neither Realm horde lead by Reptile, Mileena, Noob-Saibot, and Baraka however unbeknownst to Shinnok at the time Quan Chi had betrayed Shinnok lifetimes ago, as Quan Chi’s lust for power drove him to gain the service of the Original Sub-Zero of Lin Kuei who was known as Bi-Han.  In the course of events leading to Noob-Saibot becoming resurrected Shinnok’s amulet was replaced with a clever fake and Quan Chi had obtained the authentic.  The younger brother of Noob-Saibot; Kuai Liang developed a plan with Scorpion to team up and kill Quan Chi successfully.  Bi-Han was however too far gone as a wraith and retreated back to Hell with no interest in the clan he served as a human.

Kai, with the aid of Jackson Briggs were able to get past Reiko and Mileena only arriving too late as Tanya released Shinnok from the Confines of Hades and into the Eternal Palace.  Although The forces of light honorably tried to deliver justice to the Fallen Elder God, Fujin charged into Shinnok and used every extent of his power over wind, Shinnok sneered with his fake amulet in hand, "Courageous until the end..."  Shinnok then moved with enough speed he temporarily seemed to disappear and grabbed Fujin by the throat, "Menacing Gods to Protect a Mortal world." Jax stomped his leg under Shinnok and hurled him across the room freeing Fujin, only to watch the recipient Shinnok land gently on his feet; doom seemed inevitable, Reptile who at first was elated bowed and humbly asked, "Since I was promised entrance into the past before Shao Kahn subjugated Zatara I request to be with my race.  With a mere thought and glance Reptile exploded only a charred freshly killed pile of organs and bones was left.  Shinnok feigned a look of pity and said, "Now you're joined with that extinct race."  Although horrified initially at the treatment of his own subject Liu Kang and Kitana arrived to aid Kai and the others and by the narrowest of margins with Raiden’s help sent Shinnok down to the floor.  Reiko and Tanya joined in the madness and occupied Liu Kang and Fujin.  Mileena was cut off on her path by Kitana in the other room where Reptile died.  Shinnok using his powers had made a ceremonial staff appear with the amulet in it and cackled as he used it to lift himself up and opened a portal to his back and snuck behind Raiden putting him in a joint lock and knocking Raiden off balance as he was falling, Shinnok trampled his chest with his feet.  Kai began punching and kicking with astonishing reflexes at Shinnok who flung him against the wall and with a strange glowing power of Necromancy opened a tunnel in the ceiling where reality warped and all sorts of monsters and figures of skeletal undead freaks began dragging themselves through, Raiden used his electrical powers to send them back and was punched in the face and held against the wall by Shinnok and caused a distracted Raiden to dropped his Bo-staff that contained energy of Thunder and Lightning then it rolled to and was picked up by Kai who smacked the amulet out of Shinnok's possession, reeling in pain he released Raiden.  Kai then understood the source of power allowing the ability to traverse the Realm(s) and like a baseball smacked it onto limbo and Shinnok to the pit of Hell.
